New Super Mario Bros. 2 (ニュー・スーパーマリオブラザーズ2) is a side-scrolling platformer game developed and published by Nintendo for the Nintendo 3DS. It is the fourth installment in the New Super Mario Bros. series and the direct sequel to the 2006 Nintendo DS game New Super Mario Bros. The game features Mario and his brother Luigi as they embark on a quest to save Princess Peach from the evil Bowser. The game features the same classic side-scrolling action as the previous games in the series, with Mario and Luigi running, jumping and stomping their way through a variety of colorful levels. In addition to the classic platforming action, the game also features a number of new power-ups and items that can be used to help Mario and Luigi on their quest.
