Fire Emblem Fates: Special Edition (USA) (Japanese: ファイアーエムブレムif スペシャルエディション) is a tactical role-playing game developed by Intelligent Systems and published by Nintendo for the Nintendo 3DS. Players take on the role of the main protagonist, a customizable Avatar, who is caught in the middle of a war between two nations, Hoshido and Nohr. The game follows the Avatar's journey as they fight to protect their adopted family and discover the truth behind their mysterious origins. The Special Edition includes all three versions of the game (Birthright, Conquest, and Revelation) as well as a number of exclusive items, such as an artbook, a double-sided poster, and a soundtrack CD.
